Have you ever made decisions that weren’t really for your higher good?  I know I have and I suspect deep down, it’s because I based them on the belief  I wasn’t ” _____ ” enough e.g. clever, attractive, socially adept, wealthy etc. Consequently I would end up in situations I didn’t really enjoy or were a struggle. I wasn’t living my truth and I definitely wasn’t ‘following my bliss’.

Stress finally had the last say, when at this time I felt I could no longer exist in a corporate environment and physically I’d acquired a condition that our regular health professionals could not help me with. Thankfully, I’d already smelt the roses and had already begun my journey with The BodyTalk System, firstly as a client then as a fledgling practitioner.

Around the same time of my going through this eye of a needle yet again (no coincidences here) my Jack Russell, Minke and German Shepherd, Louie also suffered their own long term health issues.  Unfortunately only Louie survived this period of time to start benefiting from holistic health support including BodyTalk when his inflamed skin healed and his coat returned to being luscious and shiny.

The key elements I love the most about BodyTalk:

  • It works at a subconscious level, so no tricking the body here!
  • Animals are understood from their perspective not ours.
  • Balancing is determined by priority, not what the practitioner or client thinks or believes needs attention.
  • Layers of belief systems, trauma, fears, are gently removed without the need for discussing; thank goodness as most of them we aren’t aware of!
  • Because we are more than just body parts, BodyTalk recognises we are also emotional, mental and spiritual beings. Not only that but we are also impacted upon by environmental and societal factors.

I love hearing from clients how relaxed they feel after a session, that a range of movement has now returned to normal, a scar has disappeared like overnight almost (!) or in one case with Molly the Schnauzer, her diagnosis of a possible stroke or spinal injury was able to be fully addressed within hours, over a phone call whilst talking with her stressed out human Mum. I’m so in awe of this system.

As an international association, BodyTalk is continually researching and providing up to the minute science-based knowledge which keeps us Practitioners up-to-date for our clients.

Here are some BodyTalk experiences from clients – for people and animals.

I welcome all enquiries or appointments either via my contact form or email di@wisdomwithin.nz when I will reply within 24 hours.

My story: Louie and Minke – who gave me my sense of purpose

Two much-loved family members who are no longer with us, struggled and suffered with their health for far too long. This was before I became a BodyTalk Practitioner for people and animals.

Louie, German Shepherd, had incessant scratching, skin problems, inflammation and later, lumps …

His little mate (in size only!) Minke, Jack Russell, who passed away before him also had skin problems.

Long story short, they received as much natural health care and raw diet as I could give them including enlisting our local holistic vet but for whatever reason, their issues weren’t resolving easily. I’m now learning as much as I can about holistic and natural solutions, including nutrition.

In my humble opinion, drugs and surgery do have their place for some acute or serious conditions, although my first choice even then is most always the preventative, non-chemical, non- surgical route as best as I can provide. Chronic, long term health conditions are better treated at the level of origin, not necessarily quick, but a longer term better investment not only in money but in time and quality of life.

I felt stressed, frustrated and in tears a lot of the time, seeing them so unwell … I also felt very powerless.

I have no doubt that other areas in my life (where I felt stress) negatively impacted on them both. Plus I now know their raw diet could have been better balanced nutritionally.

Toward the end of Louie’s life when I was starting to learn BodyTalk, and bringing in extra help by ‘throwing’ whatever I could at him so to speak, his health started to improve and his coat looked great, but by then it wasn’t going to save his life.

One of my most deeply treasured experiences …

…was at home 11.55pm Saturday night 15 June 2013, lying with Louie at his most sacred time, when he let go his last breath. I swear I felt the breezes of angels wings (I don’t normally talk like that!)  I actually looked around to see if any doors were open (and there wasn’t)!

I feel very drawn to supporting others at this very tender time to provide relief and comfort. Also in the weeks and months prior to, for pain relief and peace.  Please ask me (and you may like to refer to my testimonials).

Maybe it’s not hard to understand that I am particularly passionate about helping dogs. They are the most loyal and loving friend you could ask for.
